In this blog post i m going to give you an unvarnished so to speak account of how we two furniture refinishing neophytes went about converting a dresser into a custom sideboard that exceeded our expectations including how me made and overcame a couple. Ever since we moved into our house over a year ago i have been on the hunt for a sideboard buffet for our dining room. If your dresser has long drawers that extend from side to side take out some of the drawers and use the empty spaces for storage. Paint the inside to match or coordinate with the top. Source i had the lovely heather faux paint the dresser in dragonfly slightly sand the edges to reveal some of the black beneath then top it with a light coating of dark wax.
