Chevy Door Popping

While doing another repair i tore down and removed the door limiter door.

Initially it only happened once in a while. Now it happens every time i drive. The drivers door on a 2000 chev suburban was making a clacking sound when opened. The door is fine when fully opened or closed.

The door feels like it is ratcheting jerking when it pops. The dealer even noticed it themselves. My car has an automatic transmission. The noise sounds like it is coming from the vicinity of the small bar that attaches to the door frame and then disappears into the door when operating.

The driver side door makes a loud distinct popping noise when opening or closing. As i drive the door locks keep locking and unlocking and acceleration seems sluggish. Whenever my driver s door is all the way open to the 2nd notch so all the way when i go to close it it feels like it is binding on the spring assembly and then will make a popping sound and the door will close fine after that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
